The communication with Andrew Low started in January 2012 and the order was made a month later, end of February. At that time this project was in its infancy and the delivery time was nine months. After the first payment, which was the activation order, no more news. Andrew is not a connected guy and it is several months later, in the fall that he has resurfaced. It was the next step to validate details such as the size and the colors to start the manufacturing process. After that, no more news for several weeks, again. Nine months have passed since the first contact and we arrived in the christmas time periode. It is late November that I receive an email that tells me that my order is finally ready to be sent and I must make the final payment. The anxiety of a bike-sized package sended from the west coast of the United States that was in the cargo hold of several planes and other road carriers in the middle of december wasn't a very good feelling. The border clearance stage is still very worrying too. Will pass, will not pass ... But the worst part of all this is that I was in Indonesia during this period with no way of knowing if the package had been delivered or returned to the sender. Which would add even more weeks to this story and more expense too. But finally, it is at the beginning of january of the new year, during the first week of work that the precious has arrived. It only remained for me to wait for the end of the winter to finally be able to ride this piece of art.
This bike has had a thousand faces since I owned it and took me five years to finally have a set-up worthy of dedicating a publication in this section. Here is what I consider his best profile.

La communication avec Andrew Low a commencé en janvier 2012 et la commande a été faite un mois plus tard, fin février. À cette époque ce projet était à ses débuts et le délai de livraison était de neuf. Après le premier paiement, qui avait pour but d’activer ma commande, plus aucune nouvelle. Andrew n’est pas une personne très connectée et c’est plusieurs mois plus tard, à l’automne qu’il a refait surface. C’était une nouvelle prise de contact pour valider les détails comme les dimensions du cadre et les couleurs désirées pour amorcer la fabrication. Après cette nouvelle étape, plus aucune nouvelle durant plusieurs semaines. Neuf mois se sont écoulés depuis le premier contact et nous arrivions dans la période des fêtes de fin d’année. C’est fin novembre que je reçois un email qui m’annonce que ma commande est enfin prête à être envoyé et qu’il me faut faire le paiement final. L'angoisse d’un colis de la taille d’un vélo en provenance de la côte ouest des Etats Unis qui voyage dans la soute de plusieurs avions et autres transporteurs routiers au beau milieu du mois de décembre a été très grande. L’étape de la douane est toujours très inquiétante aussi. Passera, passera pas… Mais le pire dans tout ça, c’est que j’étais en Indonésie durant cette période sans aucun moyen de savoir si le colis avait été livré et réceptionné ou qu’il soit retourné à l’envoyeur. Ce qui ajouterait encore plus de semaines à cette histoire et plus de frais aussi. Mais finalement, c’est au début janvier de la nouvelle année, durant ma semaine de reprise du travail que le précieux est arrivé. Il ne me restait plus qu’à attendre la fin de l’hiver pour enfin pouvoir chevaucher cette oeuvre d’art.
Ce vélo a eu mille et une facettes depuis que je le possède et il m’a fallu cinq années pour enfin avoir un set-up digne de lui dédier une publication dans cette rubrique. Voici donc ce que je considère comme son meilleur profil.
